Our semi‑cured gel polish wraps are HEMA free, so they’re a better option for clients with sensitive skin or a history of nail allergies. They still provide strong adhesion and a long‑lasting, glossy finish when applied correctly.
What HEMA is and why it matters?
HEMA — 2‑hydroxyethyl methacrylate — is a liquid monomer used in many gels, acrylics, and primers because it helps nail enhancements bond to the natural nail and creates a strong, flexible finish by forming polymer chains when cured.
However, HEMA is a known contact allergen for some people; repeated skin exposure can cause allergic contact dermatitis, so many clients and professionals prefer HEMA‑free alternatives or careful application practices.
